Let's
build a web hosting business on a shoestring

Have
friends or family members test your website for complete functionality
Your
website is your business card on the web. Make sure it is in
perfect condition for your clients. No spelling errors should
be visible and it should work in all different kind of web
browsers. Ask friends and family to visit your website and
look for broken links, spelling errors, and other things that
might leave a bad taste with potential clients.
In
most cases friends and family are very supportive when somebody
they know is starting their own business. Let them know that
you can't pay for their work, but you will be able to offer them
free or low-priced services down the road. They know that you
are starting out and need all the support you can get.
Don't
have any friends or family that can help? Ask around. Co-workers,
neigbors, or even folks on the Internet will eventually help
you. Offer some freebies or promise to pay them as soon as you
make some money. Offer gift certificates.
Make
sure you make a comprehensive lsit of all problem spots and fix
them right away.
